  1. Hello there
i have an inquiry, i will take plane from Istanbul directly to Bodrum so, can you kindly inform me how can i take Bus to be in Kempinski Hotel barbaros bay?
Thanks a lot for your Time

  2. Hi Mustafa – that’s a lovely hotel. I haven’t stayed there, but the photo’s I’ve seen look gorgeous. It’s located away from the Bodrum Peninsula, so I’d recommend finding a company providing a Shuttle Service. So just enter SHUTTLE in the search box on this site at the top of the page, and see the different shuttle service options.

  3. Hi there,
I would like to know how far it is from the Havas bus station in Bodrum to the port.
We are picking up a gulet cruise on arrival in Bodrum & want to know if the bus is an option from the airport or if it is difficult to get to the port from the terminal.
    Thx Elaine

    1. It’s less than 500 metre’s from central bus station in Bodrum to the Harbour beside the castle – straight down Cevat Şakir Cd. Easy enough to walk – unless you have loads of bags. If you do have loads of luggage, you can always get a cab at the bus station.

There are a couple more jetties, and a ferry port in Bodrum, so you may want to confirm that the boat will be leaving from the harbour by the castle.

  4. Hey Jay,

    I have a question..
Im on my way to Bodrum now from Bruxelles..and i would like to take a Havas to Bodrum.
Do u know where the pick up point in the airport is? Is it at the domnestic part?
I only know how to get from Bodrum to the airport.. never went from the airport 🙂

    Hope u can help

    Greetings,
    Sander

  5. Hi Sander – I know if definitely picks up from the Domestic Terminal, but I’m not sure if it has also started picking up from the International terminal too. I read somewhere that it did, but the Havas website doesn’t make it clear if they pick up from both terminals.

I don’t recall seeing a Havas bus stop at the International terminal, so I’d recommend just walking over to the Domestic terminal. It’s right next door and will only take a couple of minutes.

If you happen to find out that it picks up from the International terminal… can you let me know, so I can update this article. Have a great holiday….

    thanks, Jay

  6. Hi, I have a question. If I take the Havas bus from the airport to Bodrum and get off at the Torba road, can I get a taxi from there to the Zeytin Ada hotel.? Thank you.

  7. Hello there

I am flying into Bodrum from England.

I emailed my B+B in bodrum ‘ Myndos Pansiyon’ and they said I would have to walk to the domestic terminal in order to get the HAVAS shutle service to Bodrum centre.

But when i go in a couple of weeks I can let you know if things are any different – i.e whether there is in fact a HAVAS stop at the international terminal.

  8. Hi
I am planning to visit Bodrum next month from the sea. Can you please tell me if there are a bus transportation from the seaport to Turgutreis, and how to get there.
Many thanks for the useful info you are providing. This site is really excellent.
    Regards
    Ata

    1. Hi Ata .. you can get a dolmus from Bodrum to Turgutreis. They run frequently, and it’s a direct route between the Dolmus stations.

You can walk to the seaport from the Turgutreis dolmus station, but if you have luggage with you, you may want to get a cab, and there’s a cab rank in the dolmus station near where you get off the bus.

      thanks, Jay

We’ll most likely be staying in Ora Resort in Torba, do you know what is the most affordable and convenient way to go there to/from the airport?

    Thanks

  10. Hi all

got to say roving jay love this site

on 30 august 2013 we have just used the bus run by havas from bodrum terminal

simples no problemo a plesant trip

we walked around a 150 mts from international arrivals to the internal terminal and a bus was waiting

20tl for 2 adults to bodrum bus terminal – a quick efes and snack then on domus to yalikavak for 7 tl each t then a local dolmus to hillview gardens appartments

we got on the wrong final dolmus and halled our cases up a steep paved road for 600 mts to the top in 34 `c
not to be repeated but welll worth the hike amazing views and a swim and a brew sorted us out nicely

    1. Hi John… glad to hear you love the site! Thanks for the recount of your Havas-Dolmus journey too — good to see you managed to sneak a refreshing Efes mid way through the journey… a good way to get you in the holiday mode…

  11. I arrive in Bodrum cruise port on September 28 at 5:50 from Kos by catamaran.
How far is Bodrum Otogar from there. Do we get the free boat shuttle to Bodrum?
You mention Havas from Bodrum Otogar to Milas airport but the email link to them was returned. Do you at what time after 6:30 that the Havas bus would leave? I have not been able to get in touch with Havas.

    Thank you

    1. Hi Ruth — here’s a link to the map from the Cruise Port tot he Otogar – it’s just over 2km. http://goo.gl/maps/BZepP

It’s too far to walk, so if there’s a free shuttle that will get you from the Port to the Bus Station, you should use it.

I checked the Havas website, and the contact email has changed to hgumuskaya@havas.net, so you could try contacting them again (I’m going to update the article with this information, so thanks for letting me know)

Havas departures from the Bodrum Otogar are arranged according to departure times of domestic TURKISH AIRLINES / ANADOLU JET / ONUR AIR / SUN EXPRESS / PEGASUS / BORA JET /SKY AIRLINES aircrafts, and depart from the Bodrum bus station 2 hours before the aircraft departure time. So if you don’t hear back from Havas, you can check online for the departure schedule of flights out of Bodrum, to assess what buses will be leaving after 6.30.

      thanks, jay

  12. Hi,myself and my son fly from Dublin on Friday 25th July at 19:45 hrs; arrive in Bodrum international at 02:15 on Saturday 26th, can you tell me will the Haves Bus be available at that time of the morning at the international or domestic airport terminal`s. Regards Andrew.

    1. Andrew .. I don’t know offhand, but I checked the Domestic Arrivals at: http://www.bodrumairport.com/arrivals/domestic/
      and the International Arrivals at:
      http://www.bodrumairport.com/arrivals/international/

which just shows current day arrivals, and the last domestic arrives around midnight, and I didn’t see a late night Turkish Airlines International Flight, so I’m not sure if the Havas would still be running at 2am.

Why not check the Arrivals for a Friday and see if they run later on that day of the week, and you may get lucky. Otherwise you can arrange a shared shuttle service which is cheaper than a taxi into town.

You could also try emailing the Havas office as ask them what time the last Bodrum shuttle runs on your date of travel.

Sorry I couldn’t be more help. Thanks, Jay

    Thanks for your help.

  15. Hi I am just inquiring about a bus from bodrum centre bus station to bodrum milas domestic airport. What times and how often do they leave could you tell me please.

    1. Hello Chis: The shuttles are arranged according to departure times of domestic flights and depart from the Bodrum bus station 2 hours before the aircraft departure time. So depending on your flight time – you can arrive at the bus station 2 hours prior.

There’s also another Mugla Belediyesi Airport Bus Service – that leaves Bodrum Bus Station on the hour every hour. First bus 6am and last bus at midnight – cost is 7.50TL.

Both of these Airport bus service leave from the same area in the Bodrum Bus Station and are easy to find.

  16. Hi

Could you please advise if restaurants, Dolmus, taxi, hire car companies at the airport, shops etc., are open or closed on the Turkish Bank Holiday (Attaturk Day)?

    Many thanks!

  17. Hi .. I will be arriving at Bodrum flying from London Stanstead on saturday 20th June sheduled arrival 22.30.

Is there a Bus that runs from the terminal that can take us to or near our hotel , Manastir Hotel Kumbahçe Mah. Mustafa Kemal Cad. No:37, 48400 Bodrum.

    Thanks

  18. Hi! We are two couples arriving Bodrum Castle, from Kos, at about 17:30, 12th September. Our departure from Kos is at 16:30.

    1. We only found catamaran or ferries departing in the morning, as late as10:30 and afternoon. The earliest is the one we are taking. Are there other ferries/catamarans earlier than 16:30?
    2. We are staying 3 days at Bodrum area, 3 days at Selçuk, and a couple of days in Bergama. We arerenting a car one way from Bodrum , 12 september, to Izmir airport, drop off at 22 September. The best deal we found for one way rental was with Fox RentaCar. The drawback is that Fox offices are at the Bodrum airport. So, we would have to get a taxi from Bodrum Castle to the bus terminal. We could possibly catch Havas bus at 18:30 arriving at the airport about 19:15. Get the car and drive to town, Kos Hotel. Anybody knows if Fox has offices downtown?
    Thanks for your help.

    1. There are morning and afternoon departures in both directions. They’re day trip ferries, so they leave in the morning and come back in the afternoon, in both directions.

There are so many local car rental places in Bodrum, you might be better off finding another local car rental company if there isn’t a local Fox Office in Bodrum town. You could see if Fox could do a Bodrum town drop off. But if you do decide to head out to the airport .. there’s another bus service besides the Havas – it’s called Muğla Büyükşehir, and leaves from the bay right next to the Havas, and is more frequent.

  19. Hi
We arrive on 1st October at Bodrum airport from Istanbul. We need to get to Vera Miramar Resort in Ataturk Caddesi. Could you please tell us of convenient transportation please, if we catch the havas to the bus station, can we then catch a taxi to the resort please? Thank you very much

  20. Merhaba Jay, 21 Oct 2016, we are arriving back in Turkey at Bodrum ferry terminal at 9am and would like to catch the Havaş bus to the Bodrum-Milas Airport for our flight to İstanbul on Turkish Airlines that leaves at 12:45p same day.

Any chance that this is a quick taksi ride away, aka from the ferry terminal to the Bodrum Otogar? We’ve been to Bodrum many times but honestly do not know where the ferry terminal is as this is our first time arriving from Kos, Greece.

    Many thanks,
    Bruce Ivie
    San Francisco, California USA

    1. There are a couple of different ferry ports in Bodrum. There’s the local ferry port by the castle, and the ferry port at the cruise ship port which is a little bit further away. You can get a taxi from either of them and get to the bus station for the Havas Bus from the Otogar. There is also the newer Muğla Büyükşehir bus service that leaves from the same place and goes to the Bodrum-Milas airport. Departures coincide with flight departures, and the bus will leave the bus station for you flight 2 hours before departure.
