Fener Beach, Turgutreis

The first beach after the Fener (Adekelesi Huseyin) Lighthouse, is Fener beach, which is only 5km from Turgutreis Town Centre.  The southern part of this long beach is fronted by resorts.

Fener Beach is well known as a premium windsurfing and kite-surfing, but because of it’s location on the tip of the peninsula, it’s not for the faint-of-heart.  (Beginners should head to one of the more sheltered bays, like Kadikalei, Ortakent or Bitez).  If you’re not ready to take to the water, you can still plot up along the beach; enjoy the view, and visit one of the local restaurants or bars that line the beach.

The day boat trips from Turgurtreis usually have Fener beach as their first drop-anchor port of call.  It’s also an easy beach to get to via dolmus from Turgutreis.
