“Waxing Lyrical” or “Less than 50”?  Your Top 5 variants just doubled.

When I started My Bodrum Travel Guide, I enlisted the input of expats and continuous visitors to Turkey to create a series of “Top 5 Picks for the Bodrum Peninsula“.  The parameters were simple; submit 5 Top picks, using no more than 50 words.

To date, I’ve received a broad cross-section of Top Picks, and I’ve used many of them to expand my own horizons.

Hidden Treasures

There are so many hidden treasures to discover on the Bodrum Peninsula.  Every visitor seeks out different experiences, and the memories they take back home with them, can vary dramatically.  I think it’s important to include as many of these different perspectives as possible, and my hope is that visitors to the peninsular are inspired to create an off-the-beaten track experience of their own.

It’s so easy to explore locally, you just have to hop on a passing dolmuş, and then hop off wherever your interest is piqued.

Sometimes a journey off the beaten track can reveal the unexpected, and by chance, it becomes your most treasured memory.  I’ve realised it’s difficult to confine those memories to 50 words – so today, I’m announcing the arrival of:
