Windmills Ahoy!
As we headed out of Bodrum harbour for our day trip on a gulet, we spied these windmills on the hill between Bodrum and Gümbet. They face northwest, and would have been perfectly positioned to catch the coastal winds in their heyday.
You can visit the windmills when you’re back on dry land, and this hilltop vista delivers a wonderful view of Bodrum Bay on one side, and Gümbet Bay on the other.

The region of old windmills in the Aegean’s popular holiday resort of Bodrum will become an attractive area for tourists if the new project prepared by the municipality is approved. The project envisages connecting eight windmills to each other and establishing social areas like restaurants and cafes for guests visiting Bodrum.
