Bodrum Maritime Museum Shell Exhibit

The Bodrum Maritime Museum is quite small and compact, but on a hot sunny day it’s a cool place to wander around. As well as the history of Bodrum’s sponge fishing industry and memorabilia from the Fisherman of Halicarnassus there’s an extensive shell collection.

Case after case of starfish and shells and beautifully laid and and lit.

You’ll be lucky to find a shell on the beaches of Bodrum, but at the Bodrum Maritime Museum – you’re spoilt for choice.
