We were in Gundogan on holiday two summers ago, and we stayed at the Katamaran hotel and used the windsurfing and sailing gear from a club on the seafront – you’ll see we took a few action shots from the windsurfing.

I have a strong memory of the bakery next to the supermarket around 100 yards from the hotel. We finished the night with a freshly baked cake and Turkish coffee at the tables outside the bakery.

The bakery owners took great pride in their hospitality and always re-arranged tables and found more chairs to accommodate our party of 9 people. Nothing was too much trouble even though we were only spending a few pounds.
