Beach Front Restaurant for a day at the beach

Hera Restaurant is between Gusta Restaurant and Jazz Cafe in Gümüşlük Bay.  It’s a family run restaurant attached to Hera Apartments. In the day time beach loungers and umbrellas are set out in front of the restaurant, and are available for use as long as you buy something to eat or drink from the restaurant.

If it get’s too hot on the beach, you can easily while-away a chunk of your day inside.  As well as the restaurant area set with tables and chairs, there’s also a large shaded cushioned area you can lounge on.  A perfect place to chill out and read.

In the evening, the loungers are cleared off the beach, and replaced with tables and chairs.

This waterside adjacent location is a tranquil place to enjoy your drink and meal, whilst watching the sun go down on Rabbit Island.

The Hera Restaurant also appears on Kerry’s Top 5 Picks for the Bodrum Peninsula, and I’ve plotted-up in front of the Hera for a day at the beach on a number of occasions.  When it got too hot and I needed a break from the sun, I relaxed indoors on one of their indoor lounging areas full of scatter cushions.  It’s great to have a choice of location for lunch – either stay on one of the longers on the beach and have it delivered, or just pop inside and use their restaurant.  It’s a casual environment, that I recommend.
