Restaurants, a market, a public phone and a cash point machine

You can see the first of the two restaurants at the Gümüşkaya Sitesi complex, as you drive along the main coastal road between Yalikavak and Gümüşlük.

The other restaurant is all the way down on the beach front.

If you’re traveling from Yalikavak to Gümüşlük, the Sitesi sign is just as you go round a hair pin bend, where there’s usually a bunch of dolmuş parked at the side of the road in the corner of the hair pin. This is the main bus stop for Yalikavak to Gumuskaya dolmus route.

You can’t miss the roof top seating area of the first restaurant on your right.  It’s a big white building.

Turn right at the cross roads, by the cash machine.  There’s a phone booth, as well as a bunch of signs for the restaurant and market.Photo by Roving Jay of Gumuskaya sitesi

There aren’t any ocean views from the restaurant, but it’s reputed to be a good restaurant with a good selection of both Turkish and English food, and you’ll receive a warm welcome.

The other restaurant is down the hill – last time I heard mention of it, it was called Günbatımı (Sunset) Restaurant.
