Bitez Beach: shallow water, perfect for families. Good for windsurfing.
Turgutreis Beach: sandy, not overly long or crowded. Great views of Kos.

Ortakent & Yashi Beach: large & popular with families. Popular windsurfing spot.
Gumbet Beach: visit here for crowded loud fun.
Bodrum Peninsula has an astounding number of Blue Flag Beaches.
