Bitez Boat Trip on the Kelebek2

Landscape view of the Aegean of Bitez Bay, Islands and main land of Bodrum Peninsula

Comfort, Calm and Chutney

If the larger tourist boats out of Bodrum and Turgutreis aren’t the kind of boat trip you’re looking for, head over to Bitez Bay, and spend the day on the Kelebek2 boat.

Captained by Ahmet, the Kelebek plays host to 8 passengers, making it perfect for a calm and quiet day out of sun bathing, snorkeling and swimming.

Kelebek Boat Bitez Bodrum Peninsula TurkeyWhat does a typical Boat Trip consist of?

Route:  Bitez > Aquarium Bay > Bağla Bay > Karaincir > Aspat Hill > Celebi Island > Bitez (but this varies)

Cast off at 9:30am.

Begin your day with a first stop at Aquarium Bay, where you can feed the fish.

After enjoying coffee and biscuits, you’ll set sail for the sandy bay of Bağla, to venture into the Aegean for your first swim of the day.

Then onto Karaincir, where a special picnic lunch of salad, cold meats and cheeses are served, accompanied with Liz’s special homemade chutney. This fruit-based chutney is made from her own unique recipe, using seasonal local produce, and adds a personal touch which is characteristic of a day spent on the Kelebek.

After lunch, the Kelebek heads to Aspat Hill, where you can still see the remains of the 16th century ruins.

Then, if the wind is good, Ahmet sets sail to Celebi Island.  Before heading back to Bitez, there’s still time for one last swim stop, and a delicious snack of fresh fruit.

The Kelebek docks at Bitez harbour around 5pm.
